Ravean's fantasy and anthro-type subjects are always fun to get in my deviation box. She employs a very smooth, clean style and has a knack for anatomy and complex poses. I must admit that her little mini-comics are my favorites (maybe because I show up in them a lot of the time? ). You should watch her if you like seeing pretty girls wearing physically impossible outfits!! She works with a mixture of mediums, and although she's very proficient with colored pencils (she does love her RoseArts) she's semi-recently switched to inking and coloring in Photoshop, and her skills with the program only get better (especially considering she's teaching herself!). Probably the best thing about her as an artist is her continuous improvement and experimentation with new styles and takes on her art.
Not to mention, she's a really awesome person. Plus her artist's comments and journals are funny. Go talk to her! She's super nice.
And the best part for you? She's now taking commissions.

SLYE-SOUL


Slye-Soul is both a budding photographer and a very talented writer. The majority of his gallery is photography, and he prefers to focus on nature-oriented subjects. It's obvious through his work that he sees the beauty in things some of us overlook every day. His weapons of choice? A Sony DSC-H10 (he knows what all the buttons and settings are for - it's amazing ) and an eye for scenery. The most admirable thing about him? He doesn't believe in Photoshop, he believes in good photography. So don't ask him if his pretty photos have been saturated with those pretty colors - they're all the real thing.
So if you like nature, if you want to see my picture in his featured deviation (yep, that's me), if you like unadulterated photography, or if you have a cloud fetish... go see Slye.

A master of prosetry, Wrecks is one of my favorite writers on DA. She mixes up her subjects and styles constantly, never getting too comfortable with one method or another, but with always a dash of the unexpected, solid word choice, and a definite disctinctive flair. She's very involved in DA projects and writing communities. I especially like her more romantic pieces - she has a talent for making you get a little hot under the collar while maintaining an effortless grace and dignity in the process.
She also takes pretty pictures that display creativity and sincerity - and instead of cookie-cutter girls, her models are always herself and her close friends, which captures a more heartfelt effect.
All of this, and she's a really nice person who's great about giving feedback.

Mist's gallery mostly consists of poetry, although he does have a sneak peak into his novel, the Crystal Moon Chronicles, which is full of action and excitement. His pieces tend to have a feel of love and longing, as well as an appreciation for word aesthetics. He also does a little songwriting on the side (maybe to complement his mad guitar skills? )

All right, everyone! My lovely oneii-chan Ravean has been generous enough to feature me in her journal, and now I have been TAGGED. (oh no!)

But, you know. If I'm going to get self-promoted while I'm at it, I guess that's okay.

So, some things about me if you don't know me, are really really bored, have a fetish for lists, or know me but like reiteration:

1. I'm LadyLilith - the name doesn't really have much of a story other than me thinking when I was about fourteen, "GOSH I wish I had a cooler name," a feeling which I somehow haven't grown out of even though I turned 18 five days ago. Also known as Lilith or Lily - or if you like really boring names for some reason (or prefer truth), you can call me Hannah. (Or Hana, people call me that too, if you don't feel like typing two extra letters.)

2. I'm a writer! You may know this already. I consider myself a fantasy writer because that's what I take most seriously, but I write a lot of poetry just to slew creativity I suppose, and although I'm always working on some kind of bigger project (right now it's a novel called Fallen) even though I don't usually post them because I'm never completely satisfied with one of those bigger projects. I am very passionate about writing and have done it since I can remember (the earliest actual lengthy story I remember writing had antelope as the main characters). All this being said, the most faved and viewed piece in my gallery is...... a very badly taken photograph. *facepalm*

3. I had posted a couple chapters from my most longstanding story, The Color of Fire, but while the ideas are good I basically had a ton trouble putting the thing down in writing. TCOF was valiantly brought back up into the now by Slye-Soul , a very talented writer who's much more gifted with storylines than myself, and who's generously beginning to edit it for me. Hopefully we can breathe some life back into it together.

4. I have a black cat named Dusty, who happens to be a magician, and has severe intimacy issues (he tries to express his love by suffocating me in my sleep). However, I can't really blame him for his mental problems since I have a few of my own, and he's always a good listener. Unless, that is, he's angry at me, in which case he'll walk away and find the nearest container of liquid to tip over onto the floor.

5. I love pinwheels, striped socks, gerber daisies, books, music, agriculture, and my friends.

6. Speaking of my friends, I have great ones: is my Oneii-chan and a very talented artist - we go to the same college together, so we see each other almost every day. And when she's not getting blood clots and having near-death experiences on me, she's really awesome. <3
I would say that Slye (icon above) is the best boyfriend in the world, but that would be kind of cliche, and God knows that the two of us don't do anything conventionally (which is how I prefer it). Just know that he is, go visit his page, and give him some love. Convince him to put up more of his writing (all of which deserves to see the light of day). He's also magically talented at making me laugh and knowing exactly when and how to catch me when I start falling over.
I have lots more friends, so visit some of my other watchers and get to know a few. ^.^

7. I'm majoring in Animal and Poultry Sciences with a minor in Creative Writing. Why did I pick one of the most competitive majors in my university? Because I'm a masochist, that's why.

10. I'm half Taiwanese and lots of people come up to me and ask me about it out of the blue. People also like to talk about Asian things around me, and many tell me they remind me of their other Asian friend, [insert name here]. I don't know if it's where I live or what.

11. I'm a total klutz. Which is sad, because I wasn't always that way. It happened when I was around thirteen. Now I can't walk in a straight line, I trip over anything or nothing, I fall over and lose my balance a lot, and I can't be trusted to handle glass.

12. I love music. It's my greatest vice and usually the reason why I can't keep any amount of money for a long time. I play the piano and sing, too.

13. I'd LOVE to cosplay. I just need to get around to actually doing it.

has a special talent for getting EVERYWHERE. If you spend too much time with me, beware: you'll have my hair on you. Yes, it's creepy.
